Hygienist or RDA for Part-time Dental Sales (Long Island, NY)

 Hayes Handpiece is a leading nationwide dental handpiece distributor and service provider. Hayes Handpiece Greater Long Island Repair Center is now hiring for part-time sales positions - one day a week in our five territories of Nassau County, Suffolk County, Queens, Brooklyn and Staten Island. We will hire one candidate in each territory on an independent basis.

The winning candidate must have a thorough understanding of dental offices operations and procedures, be hardworking, honest, friendly and outgoing. .

The position requires outside direct sales to dental offices in a defined territory one day per week from 9AM-3PM. Compensation is $120 per day plus a commission on orders and a bonus on new customers.

Customer Service Sales Representative

Hayes Greater Long Island has a full-time position available for a Customer Service focused Sales Representative.  This position involves visiting dentists and other prospective customers to address their needs for dental equipment purchase, maintenance, and repair.  This position also involves making presentations to large and small groups, working at industry tradeshows, and assisting with various marketing initiatives.  The small dental equipment that we work with includes high-speed dental handpieces, low-speed dental handpieces, and autoclaves.  A Hayes Customer Service Sales Representative is always attentive to the needs of the customer.  Our customers are in Suffolk County, Nassau County, Queens, Brooklyn, and Staten Island; you must have your own reliable and insured automobile and must be willing to do a lot of driving in New York and Long Island traffic.  You also must be able to lift some heavy boxes.  We provide extensive training so that our representatives have deep industry and technology knowledge; you must be willing to travel for training.  This is a hands-on Customer Service Sales position; you will learn to do straightforward repairs yourself, and to diagnose complex repairs for our Mechanical Technicians to handle.  You’ll order parts and help to manage inventory.  Our Customer Service Sales Representatives must have strong computer skills for use of databases, Quickbooks, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Internet-based applications.  As a member of a small entrepreneurial team, you will be expected to wear many hats and pitch in as needed – you may be the lucky one to empty the office trashcans this week.

This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent; college education is definitely a plus.  This position requires a Hepatitis B immunization and a background check.  This position requires neat attire, including a Hayes-logo shirt, blouse, or sweater.

Compensation includes healthcare benefits, vacation/holiday accrual, approved mileage reimbursement, and reimbursement for all approved training-related travel expenses.

The pay rate is based on experience, demonstrated ability to handle responsibilities, customer service results, sales results, ability to lead as part of a team, and ability to help to grow the business – range is $10.00 per hour - $20.00 per hour.
